About The Artist
Born in Orange County, California, I have been an artist for over 30 years. I started my artistic endeavors through the guidance or my mother, who
was also an artist. She studied acting in New York and Los Angeles, and this is how I got interested in painting celebrities,
and other notables. I come from a family of artists. My Aunt was a published author, My Uncle is a professional photographer, My sister is an
impressionistic artist, my Nephew is a graphic artist and D.J.in Los Angeles, California and my son is a musician.
What you see on my website are examples of some of my work available for sale. Once a pastel portrait is completed, it is then sprayed with a fixative.
Oils are varnished when completed and dried.
I have attended a well known college in Southern California. My work has been shown in galleries, libraries, and law offices across the country. My
paintings decorate the homes of celebrities and notables. One of my portraits is now part of the California State Capital Building Archives. I have also
taught art in college, art stores, and hosted my own drawing show on television.
Currently, my work can be viewed at the prestigious Hollywood Wax Museum, in historic Hollywood, CA.
Pastel Portraits of mine are also displayed at the Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson, Missouri.
My artwork has recently been added to the "new" Hollywood Wax Museum in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Also, seven of my portraits are appearing in the book: "Diana in Art", published this year by renown author: Mem Mehmet .
